HEALTH THERAPIST
Hey there
I’m Stephanie
As a proud Latina therapist, I’m deeply committed to the healing and empowerment of Latinx/BIPOC communities. My journey into mental health started long before the classroom, shaped by personal experiences and witnessing the challenges in my community. I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology at North Park University and later my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, realizing that education is a powerful tool for transformation. Now, as an LCPC, I’m dedicated to providing culturally responsive therapy, breaking down barriers to mental health, and decolonizing traditional therapy practices through healing and psychoeducation.
Beyond therapy, I mentor college and grad students, supporting them as they navigate their academic and professional journeys. Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, the people who remind me to slow down and enjoy life. I also stay grounded through movement, traveling, painting, and getting lost in a good book because healing isn’t just about therapy; it’s about balance, joy, and growth! 💛
I can’t imagine doing anything else
I honestly can’t imagine doing anything else. Being a therapist lets me connect with people on a real level, helping them work through challenges and find their strength. It’s such a privilege to be part of their journey, and seeing them grow and heal makes everything so worthwhile. It’s a job that brings me so much meaning and joy..
“Finding happiness isn’t a matter of creating a perfectly even-keeled experience of the world, where no sadness ever intrudes. Instead, it means riding the waves of joy, and trying to find our way back upward when we’ve been knocked down. In renewal we find a kind of resilience, an ability to bounce back from difficulty by reigniting the optimism and hope that rises within us when we believe that joy will return.”. -Ingrid Fetell Lee
